Top 20 Best Companies to Work for in New York
SRC and SRCTec have been named one of top 20 “Best Companies to Work for in New York” for 2009, in the large company category, by the New York State Society for Human Resource Management (SHRM) and Best Companies Group. This awards program was designed to identify, recognize, and honor the best places of employment in New York, benefiting the state’s economy, its workforce, and businesses. Last year, we received this same recognition as one of the Top 10 “Best Companies to Work for in New York.” SHRM also presented SRC with the Donlon Award for family-friendly workplace in 2005 and 2006.

Corporate Member of the Year
SRCTec was named the Corporate Member of the Year by the Northern New York – Fort Drum Chapter of the Association of the United States Army (AUSA) in 2009. AUSA is a private, non-profit, educational organization that supports America’s Army – Active, National Guard, Reserve, Civilians, Retirees, and family members. This award was presented in recognition of SRCTec’s continuous support of the chapter and its members.

Top 10 Inventions
Manufactured by SRCTec, the Lightweight Counter-Mortar Radar (LCMR) and the first-generation CREW Duke system—Counter Measure Protection System (CMPS)—received the Army’s Top 10 Inventions Award in 2004 and 2005, respectively. The award distinguishes best technological solutions for soldiers, and how these new technologies increase convenience and competence for the U.S. Army.

Greater Syracuse Chamber of Commerce’s Business of the Year Award
SRCTec received the Greater Syracuse Chamber of Commerce’s Business of the Year Award in 2009. Additionally, SRC and SRCTec together were recognized with the Community Involvement Achievement Award for their efforts throughout Central New York and beyond. The Award is given to companies that excel in growth, staying power, workplace innovation, and commitment to the community.

Best Overall Safety Program
In 2008, SRCTec was awarded the Best Overall Safety Program Award for a medium-sized company by Manufacturers Association of Central New York (MACNY) and the Occupational Safety and Health Administration (OSHA). The award was given in recognition of our dedication to improving safety programs throughout our facility. The combination of capital investment, training, process formalization, and employee involvement were all major factors in receiving this award.
