Mr. Marvin McGuinness is a member of SRCTec, Inc.’s Board of Directors. His background in engineering and production with the Department of Defense and several defense contractors provides valuable insight to SRCTec for both their customer-set and their internal operations.
Mr. McGuinness also serves as a management consultant to Lockheed Martin and SRC, SRCTec’s parent company. Prior to becoming an independent consultant, Mr. McGuinness was the director and site manager of Lockheed Martin’s Ocean Systems, responsible for approximately $250M of sales each year for U.S. Navy product areas, including electronic warfare, submarine combat systems, sensors, and more.
Mr. McGuinness also served as director, ocean systems production programs at Martin Marietta/Lockheed Martin, managing contracts worth $1.4B with sales totaling $680M; and manager of engineering and manager of systems engineering at General Electric, where he directed an engineering organization covering all engineering disciplines supporting sonar and radar systems.
In addition to his tenures at Lockheed Martin and General Electric, Mr. McGuinness also currently sits on the Lockheed Martin Diversity Council Board and the Lockheed Martin Intellectual Property Review Board. He is also the sole inventor of the patent for Time Constant Control for Adaptive Beamforming with application to passive, low frequency surveillance sonar systems.
Mr. McGuinness earned a bachelor’s degree in electrical engineering from Manhattan College, Riverdale, NY; and a master’s degree in electrical engineering from Rensselaer Polytechnic Institute, Troy, NY.
