LSTAR®
The
LSTAR® system fills the gaps left by other air surveillance radars. Its 360° 3-D electronic scanning provides tracking of low altitude, slow flying, and small radar cross-section aircraft. With a design based on the combat-proven Lightweight Counter-Mortar Radar (LCMR), the
LSTAR system is easily transported and its small size allows flexible and inconspicuous installation. The
LSTAR is self-contained and network-enabled with an incredibly durable enclosure to protect the system from winds up to 150 mph and hurricane force rain.
The LSTAR system is designated as Qualified Anti-Terrorism Technology under the Support Anti-terrorism by Fostering Effective Technologies Act of 2002 (SAFETY Act). It is also listed on the Department of Homeland Security’s Responder Knowledge Base product list.
